A wonderful mentor, Doug Smith suggested that I take the course as trauma has taken hold of me. He also said I should meet Tom.
My son just recently suffered a SCI which has left him paralyzed and me searching for ways to help my son heal and deal with the trauma of the accident. I thought there has to be something that I could do than just be there for him and there was, the Anatomy of Trauma given by Abigail and Tom. Fortunately, even though I had registered late, Abigail quickly responded to my inquiry and the rest is history.
I had not taken anatomy since university. Abigail assured me that I would be fine. As I entered the door I am enveloped in a huge hug by Tom. Wow! Talk about making an impact.
Right from the moment you walk through the door until the minute you leave your time is consumed with becoming knowledgeable about the body and assisting others to heal.
Tom and Abigail believe that 80 percent of what you do is intent and 20 percent technique. Was I nervous, I sure was, but by the end of the third day I left with a fast held belief that I could do this.
I learned more than I thought I would this weekend, besides learning techniques, I made connections and bonds with people who in my daily life would never have met. I presume things are meant to be for a reason and I was meant to meet Tom and Abigail and be introduced to a world of wonderful, caring, talented people and intelligent people. We all brought something to the experience.
If you get a chance to take this course you will learn a wealth of information and your body will also heal from the trauma you yourself have experienced sometime in your life.
The day after taking the course comments by people who saw me said you look so relaxed, I was and I was. I was at peace.
Thank you Tom and Abigail
